Osgathorpe Parish Council Serving the people of Osgathorpe

Who we are & what we do

There are 5 Parish Councillors and a Parish Clerk. The 'precept' or funding for the Council is part of the Council Tax collected by North West Leicestershire District Council. The Parish Council receives a small amount of money for each person in the village.

The Parish Council generally meets 5 times a year. Notices advising you are placed on the Village on the noticeboards and on the website. All Parishioners are welcome to attend, we hold a 10 minute public participation slot at the end of the meeting. This ensures all Parish Council business can be conducted at the scheduled meeting.

Osgathorpe Parish Council is committed to equal opportunities . It is Osgathorpe Parish Councils policy to ensure that no job applicant, employee or user of facilities received less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, sex, gender, religion, age, marital status, social class, disability , or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown just.
